Frequently Asked Questions

01

What are private swim lessons?

One child. One coach.

02

Which is better? Private or group swim lessons?

Group lessons are structured to teach skills according to each age group. Each child takes turns to learn each skills; which is why it takes time to see significant progress.

03

How long will it take for my 3 year old to swim?

The coach will do an assessment of your child during our first 10 minutes of the lesson. If you child is confident in the water the time to teach your child will swim will be significantly less than a child that fears putting their face in the water.

04

Do I have to watch the swim lesson?

We recommend you watch the first swim lesson for Coach Carla to relate detailed information about lessons. After the first swim lesson; you can leave your child with the coach and return at the end of the swim lesson.

05

What happens if my child is crying?

60% of the children under the age of 3; cry during the first two lessons because the coach is a "stranger". There are many reasons a toddler cries. Our goal is to demonstrate that learning to swim is fun; not scary.

06

Are 1 hour lessons beneficial?

The benefits of one hour lessons are to give the child the time he/she needs to adapt to the lesson. Another benefit is for the parents by saving money and time.

07

What are the benefits of private and mommy & me classes?

In mommy & me classes; Coach Carla will teach you the appropriate skills to use when you take your baby to the pool. Some children do better in private lessons. Children who refuse every activity with the parent are recommended to do private lessons.

08

Which swim team do you recommend?

I suggest you check the team ranking and swimmers rankings. Every swim team that has successful swimmers will provide swim meet results.

What is swim meet prep?
